Subject that I enjoy studying!

Imagen
Hello to all my dear readers! how are they? Today I am here to talk about a university subject that I really like, and that is "critical approaches in Social Work." This subject is directed by Professor Teresa Matus, she is the one who presents and teaches us the new contemporary approaches for and by Social Work in the face of the transformations of capitalism in our society. I really like this subject (although it is a bit difficult, I don't deny it haha) because in some way it allows us to understand and be able to apply in the future strategies to combat capitalism from different approaches, different authors. During the second semester at the university with this subject, I have been able to specifically learn an approach that is critical theory, which presents the renewal of the conceptions of a single social work! By this I mean the understanding of accepting and adopting a plural social work. Regarding the knowledge of this subject, I confess that I did not know o...

Social worker that I admire

Imagen
Hello dear readers! how are they? Today I come to tell you about a Spanish social worker whom I admire a lot. She is Nazareth Cordero Garcia and I admire her because I find her a socially responsible woman who cares about the empowerment of women and the visibility of contemporary social issues that are often considered "taboo", such as sexual diversity, for example, gender stereotypes or mental exhaustion. I also consider that she has contributed to society through her Instagram account "nazareth_trabajosocial", making this beautiful discipline visible, publishing, and disseminating social content available to everyone (since her social network is public). As a biography of this great woman, I can tell you not much, since her personal data is not exposed. However, in addition to the above, I can tell you, dear readers, that she is a qualified health social worker from the University of Oviedo, mediator, teacher, and agent of equality. Amazing, right? Tell me what y...

How social work can make the world better?

Imagen
Hi everyone! How are you today dear readers? This time I come to tell you about my "social work" career and how it can positively affect the world. This discipline studies different social realities and focuses on being able to provide help to the person! but how? Through tools that allow the person to act also of their own will, it is taught! Social work intervenes, supervises, investigates, accompanies, prevents, and guides among many more things! is incredible! In a few more years and relation to this beautiful career, I would like to see myself working in the area of immigration or public education, being able to provide mediation, intervention, and guidance depending on what is needed. In my opinion, I believe that the concern and interaction that social work generates with the other person is essential for society to maintain a dignified balance. Respect and admiration for this race! Tell me what you think dear readers! virtual hugs!

On this occasion, I am interested in presenting you this photo of my kitten, because during her stay in this world she always gave affection, love, and joy to those who knew her and especially to my days. The story behind this image represents one of the last photos I was able to take and as you can well appreciate, in bed trying to wake up hahaha. With this photo and description of "mona", I would like more than anything to convey my beautiful memories of her and how much we enjoy each other's company. My favorite food: Rice with sauteed vegetables (Chinese food)

Imagen
Hello, hello dear readers! How are you? I am quite happy because today I will tell you about my favorite food which is the "sautéed vegetables with rice" of Chinese food! I understand that "vegetable chapsui" has its origin in the United States and later became popular in China. This food dish is prepared with vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, almonds, dragon's teeth, among other things. The seasonings are also used for the preparation, such as the soy sauce and finally the rice that accompanies this meal (I like to mix everything once the food is ready, lol). I really like this dish because, in my opinion, it has an exquisite flavor thanks to mixing the rice with the soy sauce and the cooked and browned vegetables. Regarding my health, it seems to me that it is a nutritious dish that has proteins, vitamins, and a carbohydrate that is rice. If you have not tried this wonderful food yet, dear readers, I gladly invite you to try it, you will not regret it!...

My favorite piece of technology: cell phone

Imagen
I consider the cell phone and the computer as one of my favorite tech gadgets! however, I believe that the cell phone wins in this favoritism. The cell phone is an electronic and portable device, which is used to communicate with other people, take photos, listen to music, play videos, search for information online, etc. In my case, and since my first cell phone in 8th grade, I use it quite frequently, even every day in a range of around 7 hours, since I use it for all of the above and also, as a study tool in the University. be able to read, connect to the zoom platform for classes, among other things. I like the cell phone for the number of features it can offer and the easy way to use it! Honestly, I can't imagine a life without it, I think its use is quite internalized in everyday life today. However, due to the amount of dependency that the cell phone generates, I would like to reduce it and replace it with other activities. I hope I can take a break of it in the summer since ...

My career: Social Work

Imagen
When I was a child I have memories of always having wanted to study or work in something that involved cooperation with other people. During my middle school years those desires persisted and grew, having as career options: social work, occupational therapy and differential educator. What made me make a decisive decision regarding my future career was the dialogue with a teacher from my old school, where she guided me more in the discipline of social work and was even able to relate it to my personality. As you can imagine, dear readers, I ended up studying social work this year at the University of Chile and I cannot express all the happiness of, until now, being certain that I was not wrong. Despite being a year of virtual classes, I have been able to enjoy every moment of my career, I feel really grateful about the beautiful areas where I can work in the future. Having said that, I would love that when I finish my university education I can work in public early childhood education o...
